Snap, Filter, Upload: Project #3

Models do the no-makeup look, we're big on no-filter filters. We believe that a little effect can go a long way in helping you harvest likes (or double taps). Specially for food shots, we try to retain as much color as we can to make sure the images will still come off as luscious and as mouth-watering as they are in person.

Achieve this #nofilter look by following the steps below:

To start, open this image in SnapSeed. Tap on the circle with the white pencil icon. A set of options will show up on your screen. Choose crop. Here you can see how we trimmed the sides and ended up with a fairly tight shot. Apply change.
Use the Glamour Glow filter to soften the sides sort of like a vignette (except we won't be darkening the edges). Right of the bat you can see how the icing looks creamier than in the original image. The white areas also look whiter and silkier unlike the raw image which sorta looks hard almost like candy. This image is already great as it is. You can easily upload this on Facebook OR--
Upload it in Instagram and add another layer of filter. The Gingham filter lightens up the color further so instead of a darker shade of brown for the icing, you end up with a mild chocolate look which, we believe, further brings out the yum out of the image. It's a crazy notion but from a bitter dark chocolate look, you now have an image of a donut that looks as if it's gonna taste mildly sweet and milky.
